Once again I am a day late, and about two bucks short. Yesterday, I drove a race car and didn't have time to give you my jams. More on the race car soon.

New Music Monday is becoming my new favorite day of the week. I get to play some new music for you during the 5-o'clock hour every Monday, and it honestly makes my day.

Dylan Scott is following up his hit single "My Girl" with a great new single. "Hooked" was written by Morgan Evans and was inspired by his budding romance with now wife Kelsea Ballerini. Her song "Peter Pan" also inspired the title "Hooked."

Sugarland is finally back together, we're getting a new album AND a new tour. Their new single "Babe" is climbing the charts and was written by Taylor Swift, who also has guest vocals on the track, and Patrick Monahan of the band Train. Fun Fact: it is the first time Sugarland has featured another singer on one of their albums.

Summer is on the brink and it is almost time for those summer road trips with amazing driving songs are needed. There is no mystery that I love George Strait, and "Troubadour" is one of those summer driving songs. I also enjoy that almost every country star has their own version. Jon Pardi's cover of the song is worth a listen as well.
