The day after the day we save light can be rough. I’m talking about Daylight Savings Time. We all  need an extra dose of caffeine today, and extra dose of some awesome country music. So, here we go again!

The Morgan Wallen concert at Touch of Texas was ROCKING. I had the pleasure of introducing his opening acts, and they did not disappoint. Matt Chase is a rising star out of Nashville. It was just his third show on Morgan’s tour, but this guy put on a show. It is one of the hardest things to get up in front of a crowd with just a guitar and do an acoustic set, but Matt delivered. His single “Catch Girl” is radio ready. I really enjoyed hearing the acoustic version of the song then checking out the studio version. It really made me appreciate the song that much more. My jammiest of jams this week is Matt Chase and “Catch Girl.”

Ray Fulcher was the second opening act for Morgan Wallen, and this guy and his band blew me away. On top of the Dwight Yoakam, Chris Janson, and Eric Church covers, Ray crushed his set. Ray wrote 8 songs on Luke Comb’s amazing album This One’s for You, including the #1 hit “When It Rains it Pours.” Ray’s jam “Song of the Summer” is the perfect song to get you through the last few cold weeks of 2018. It reminds me of everything we love about summer, plus the song rocks.

Since Ray did a cover of Dwight Yoakam at Touch of Texas, I had to give Dwight another week of being my throwback jam of the week. "Guitars, Cadillacs" had Touch of Texas bumpin' like a Honky Tonk.
