Jason Wicks clearly likes to stay busy.  Somewhere in between playing standing room only clubs, taverns and casino venues all around the Southern Tier, he finds time to care for his horses and fly to Nashville to write with some of Music City's most respected songwriters.

The Jason Wicks Band joins the Hats Off Band Saturday Night, HAWKtober 24th for the free HAWK Listener Appreciation Concert at the new Magic City Music Hall in the Northgate Plaza, Upper Front Street in Binghamton.  The show starts at 8 and is free to all HAWK listeners.  Jason is very excited to be the first country show at the Magic City Music Hall.  "Everybody is excited about this place."

Jason has been concentrating on his new music, which fans will hear in the show Saturday night.  Last year he released an EP of 6 finely crafted tunes he wrote based on his life experiences.  The CD 'Life of a Cowboy,' is available on itunes and will also be available at all his concerts.  The album was recorded at the famous Creekhouse Studio in Nashville and he smiled when he told me it was mastered by Hank Williams!  Pretty cool indeed.

Jason is very proud of his music and his live show.  And he should be.  He works very hard to please his audience.  He wins over new fans everyday.  If you go Saturday night, expect a nice mix of music that influenced this fine country musician's sound, including lots of George Strait, some Haggard, Jerry Reed, along with a nice dose of today's hot country sounds like Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan, along with some originals that Jason wrote for this album.  He may even try some never-before-heard songs he has been working on for his next release, coming sometime in 2016.

Until then, we'll see you at the inaugural country event at Magic City Music Hall Saturday night at 8 with the Hats Off Band and the Jason Wicks Band.  The show is FREE from the Hawk.

If you missed my interview with Jason the other day, here it is to enjoy.  We'll see you Saturday night!
