Jason Aldean is taking his annual Concert for the Cure to the Grand Ole Opry stage in 2016. This year, Aldean's charity show will be part of the eighth annual Opry Goes Pink event.

Opry Goes Pink 2016 is set to take place on Oct. 25. Aldean will literally turn the Opry's iconic barn backdrop pink when he flips the switch to light up the stage, but he'll also be performing alongside other artists to raise money for Women Rock for the Cure and the Nashville chapter of Susan G. Komen.

“Finding a cure for breast cancer is something I'll continue to fight for the rest of my life," Aldean says in a press release. "Bringing the show back to Nashville this year as part of a special Opry performance, where I will have so many friends and family in the crowd, will be a good reminder of why we need to continue to fight this terrible disease.”

The 2016 Concert for the Cure will be Aldean's 11th event; thus far, the Concert for the Cure has raised more than $2.3 million for Susan G. Komen, to help battle breast cancer. In addition, throughout his recent tours, Aldean has offered the VIP treatment to breast cancer survivors, surprising some lucky fans with backstage meet and greets and more. But fighting against breast cancer isn't just good for the singer's image; rather, Aldean takes the issue very personally.

“My best friend lost his wife to breast cancer, and she was in her very early 30s,” he shares. “I was there. I watched it all go down. I watched him deal with that and her go through it and her leaving behind two daughters. That to me was sort of an eye-opener.”

He adds, "I have a wife. I have two daughters. I have a mother, a stepmom, a sister … I mean, I have women in my life that are very important, and to me, it’s something I would never want to see them go through.”

Additional artists who will share the stage with Aldean during the Concert for the Cure / Opry Goes Pink will be announced at a later date.
