Veterans and Military Appreciation Night With the Binghamton Senators
Saturday is the only home game this weekend at Floyd L. Maines Veterans Memorial Arena for the Binghamton Senators but it's an important one.
It's their annual Veterans & Appreciation night! All veterans and active duty military members receive a free ticket courtesy of Lockheed Martin. The B-Sens will be wearing special Military themed jerseys that will later be auctioned off after the game.
I have one official Binghamton Senators jersey which I received in honor of my friend, John Priestner. We lost him when he was piloting an Apache helicopter in Iraq back in November of 2006. I always think of him when I wear it.
Congratulations to Alex Guptill! He scored his 1st professional goal in last Wednesday's 4-3 OT win over Utica. He also drew the short straw and had to play golf with my team in the recent Wendy's Walk for Kids/Binghamton Senators golf tournament. What a sport.
Our Sens will face off against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins starting at 7:05PM. For all things Senators, including Chris Wideman being named the AHL player of the month, go here.
LET'S GO SENS!!
