My Superman Halloween costume hasn't even made it to my storage tote.  If haven't noticed, there have been few turkey sightings but Santa can certainly be found in the Southern Tier.  Stores have snow capped trees decorated with lights and ornaments.  Early shoppers will begin to hear Christmas music in their favorite stores.  The Southern Tier has a chill in the air with snow flurries in the forecast.

So is it too early to start your shopping?  Not if you ask my sister-in-law.  She had her shopping cart in the final check out line in August.  I love people that are that organized.

How about holiday music?  Is it too early to bring out Frosty, Rodolph and the jolly one?  Some have already started playing Christmas music.  I have found that it's better to not force people to listen to it but rather give people the option.  We have a special music player on 981thehawk that has 24/7 commercial-free holiday music on demand.  That way you can hear it when you want it.  The Hawk begins to play Christmas favorites officially on Black Friday.

So what do you think?  Are you looking forward to an earlier than usual holiday season?
