Looking for a quick Tuesday road trip that fulfills your appetite and helps combat childhood hunger at the same time?  The Ithaca Taste of the Nation will be doing just that Tuesday evening.

In its' 26th year, the Ithaca Taste of the Nation features over 40 of the area's finest restaurants, each paired with a Fingers Lakes Winery, brewery or coffee company. What's great is 100% of the ticket sales benefits Share Our Strength's efforts to end childhood hunger.

One of those organizations that has benefited greatly is Healthy Food For All, a partnership of local farms and Cornell Cooperative Extension in Tompkins County.  Thanks to the Ithaca Taste of the Nation, over 400 youth and adults and nine local farms have received help.  Healthy Food For All has been identified as one of the most successful interventions to ending hunger and building community food security in South Central New York.

The event takes place Tuesday evening 6:30-10:30 at the Athletics and Events Center at Ithaca College, 953 Danby Road in Ithaca.  VIP admission is sold out while $100 general admission tickets will be available at the door.
