Ithaca Artists Market to Please All Art Enthusiasts

As if anyone needs an excuse for a day trip once in a while. With all this beautiful (but hot) weather, sometimes taking a journey down a new path can be just what one needs.

A favorite getaway is always Ithaca -- so close yet you feel like you are so far away. And with the 26th Annual Artists Market going on Friday, July 29, it may just be what you need. The show is from 2-8pm and will feature: paintings, sculpture, mixed media, pottery, jewelry, fine furniture, digital work, collage, letterpress, etchings, monoprints, and more.

It all happens within the beautiful Ithaca Farmers Market, off Route 13 at 545 Third Street (turn at Aldi).

There will be 75 artists (and a novelist!), 12 arts organizations, lots of food vendors, craft beer and wine, and music by the East Hill Jazz Group throughout the event.  It's fun!

You will have the opportunity to meet and talk to lots of artists, see a very wide range of spectacular work, eat, drink, and buy some great art. Artwork prices range from $5 to $2,500 and there is something for everyone.
