Summer is officially here, the kids are out of school and you're looking for something do to that they'll like and that won't bore you to tears. Sounds like you need to pack up your littles and head to the Binghamton Zoo at Ross Park for their Ice Cream Safari.

On Saturday, July 14th from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., the Binghamton Zoo will open for their annual Ice Cream Safari. Grab a bowl and a spoon as you walk through the gates and then cool off by visiting each of five ice cream stations which will be staggered throughout the zoo.  The first 300 kids in attendance will even be given their very own safari hat to wear during the Ice Cream Safari.

What flavors of ice cream will be handed out? The zoo tells us that you can expect chocolate mint chip, dutch chocolate, a french vanilla sundae station, moose tracks, and
orange pineapple.

Admission rates do apply and you can either purchase your tickets in advance (if you don't like having to wait in line, this might be the best bet for you) or at the gate, but the last ticket will be sold at 7 p.m. on the day of the Ice Cream Safari.

All proceeds from the Ice Cream Safari benefit the Binghamton Zoo at Ross Park’s conservation efforts.
