Look out Southern Tier.  It's not even officially Autumn yet and people are starting to get sick.  Very sick.

In the case of hundreds of children in the US Midwest, it's a potentially serious respiratory illness that has federal and state health officials worried.

There are 300 cases reported in the Kansas City area alone, sending some children to the intensive care ward.  Other states involved in the outbreak include:  Ohio, Kansas City, Iowa, Georgia Colorado and North Carolina.

The CDC is actively involved in testing and results.  Certainly not a good sign of what may be coming our way in the Southern Tier.
