We are less than a week until October and that means its time for that annual Fall tradition of heading to the Binghamton Zoo and the best part is, you choose how much you want to be scared!

October 5th, 6th, 12th and 13th, it's the not-so-scary event known as Howloween at the Zoo. It's fun games and activities without the fright of ghouls and goblins. The kids can pumpkin bowl, participate in the pirate ring toss and other activities that get you coins for prizes and treats without the tricks.

It goes from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and everyone is encouraged to dress up in their favorite costume. I think I'll wear my Tigger costume but don't worry, I won't enter their contest because it's a sure winner and I want to give you a chance to win. HA HA HA HA.

Do you love Halloween and are looking for a chance to volunteer? They need volunteers for Howloween and Boo at the Zoo. My daughter, Tara, has asked in the past about being a part of this, so you might see her this year and I'm sure she would love for you to join her at the zoo.

Contact Melissa at mgrippin@rossparkzoo.com or go here to get more information about volunteering. It's less boo and more zoo for Howloween at the 5th oldest zoo located at 60 Morgan Road in Binghamton.
