It's October and that means it time for that annual Fall tradition of heading to the Binghamton Zoo and the best part is, you choose how much you want to be scared!

This and next weekend, it's the not-so-scary event known as Howloween at the Zoo. It's fun games and activities without the fright of ghouls and goblins. The kids can pumpkin bowl, participate in the pirate ring toss and other activities that get you coins for prizes and treats without the tricks.

It's Saturday and Sunday (10/6,10/7,10/13,10/14) from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. You can wear your favorite costume and enter the costume contest. I think I'll wear my Tigger costume but don't worry, I won't enter the contest because it's a sure winner and I want to give you a chance to win. HA HA HA HA.

This Saturday the 6th from 12 p.m to 1 pm. Rowdy the Rumble Pony will make an appearance. The Binghamton Police Department Command RV & K9 Unit and Binghamton Fire Department will be there too.

Sunday, October 7th, it's the Teddy Bear Clinic from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Saturday, October 13th, the 501st Legion's Garrison Excelsior Star Wars Characters will be on hand from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, October 14th, Devil Dawg from the Binghamton Devils along with Rowdy the Rumble Pony will make an appearance from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.

It's less boo and more zoo for Howloween. The 5th oldest zoo is located at 60 Morgan Road in Binghamton.
