How To Tell If You’ve Run Out Of Propane In Your Grill Tank

There’s pretty much nothing worse than firing up the grill to make a delicious dinner only to discover halfway through cooking that you’ve run out of propane.

How do you know if your grill  propane tank is empty if you don’t have a gauge? Boil a cup of water and pour it down the side of your disconnected tank. The part that’s cold to the touch is the part that’s full.  The part that’s warm/hot to the touch is the part that’s empty.

Happy 4th of July!
