I've always said that if I had more time, I would make wine and beer at home.  I know people who do it and it's something they seem to take great pride in.  And let's face it, there's nothing like a homemade gift that gives you a buzz.

Since Binghamton on Tap is so popular, I thought I would focus on beer making.  Crafting beer at home can get rather costly.  But once you purchase all the ingredients, it's smooth sailing once the initial investment is made.  One Summer I even grew my own hops and gave this key ingredient to my friend who was making beer at home.  Growing hops was easy for me but he couldn't seem to do it.  Sharing my hop harvest with him was like gold to him.

Enjoy this "how-to" video and we look forward to seeing you for the sold out Binghamton On Tap, February 21st in Binghamton, featuring 50 breweries and 3 hours of unlimited sampling of over 100 of America's best craft brews.
