Hot and Humid Health Concerns in Twin Tiers

Residents are being encouraged to limit time spent outside as hot and humid conditions are projected through the weekend.

The National Weather Service says the Heat Index will reach the low and mid 90s, which can pose a risk to heat-sensitive individuals.

There also will be slight chances of showers and thunderstorms through the period.

Any strong thunderstorm could cause isolated flooding in poor drainage areas.
