A capacity crowd witnessed a night of racing at 5 Mile Point on Saturday with a number of local drivers having great outings.

Windsor High School Senior Tanner Harpell led all 20 laps in the IMCA Modified feature event.  He started third and took the lead on lap 1 for his second victory of the season and second of his career in the IMCA Modified division. The IMCA (International Motor Contest Association) is the oldest auto racing sanction body in the United States and hosts events all over the nation.

Binghamton drivers Jim Gabriel Jr., Joey Colsten, Mike Colsten and Chris Wood all placed in the top ten in the 30 lap Modified feature event.  Gabriel led the last 15 laps of the event only to see Middletown, NY driver Dan Creeden pass him on the final turn on the last lap of the race.

Windsor driver Nick Kennedy recorded his first ever win in the Lightning Cat Novice feature. This weekend is the 49th Heath Memorial, to find out more go here.
