Help! Where’s The Best Place To Camp In Binghamton?

When I was a kid, I used to go camping all the time. My summers were spent searching for crawdads in the creek and hiking and spending the night around a bonfire telling stories and roasting marshmallows.

Life has gotten a little crazy since I was a kid and I've not been camping since, but while talking to friends last weekend we decided that we want to take a weekend to escape from the world, throw up a tent, build a fire and just relax.

My friends who want to go camping with me will be coming here from Central Pennsylvania and since they don't know the area and I've not ever been camping here, we need your help. We're looking for a place that's not really crowded.  A place where it's quiet enough to hear the crickets.  A place where there's enough room for us to put up at least 3 tents and a place where we can build a decent fire to sit around.

Where do you suggest we go camping and why?
