I can't tell you exactly when it happened, but it did. My husband went from being really slender to sporting a mini "dadbod."  He didn't pack on 50 pounds or anything like that, but he did get a little soft around the middle, most likely as a result of having pregnancy sympathy for me...or something like that.

There have been a ton of people tossing around the term “dadbod” over the past few weeks. If you're not sure what a "dadbod" is, it's guys with a little extra fat and padding, along with a muffin top?

Researchers found that a little extra fat helps to slow the aging process and keeps the brain functioning at a high level.

Obviously this is NOT an excuse to hit the buffet and pig out to pack on the pounds. According to researchers, the most benefits can be found if you’re at the low end of “overweight” on the body mass index scale. This makes no sense to me since doctors are always saying being any amount of overweight is dangerous, but you can't say I didn't give you the heads up about the "dadbod."
