While no information about the case is coming from the Police with the investigation in its early stages, both Binghamton Mayor Richard David (R) and County Executive Jason Garnar (D) were quick to issue statements condemning the vandalism.

Garnar said "hatred has no place in Broome County." He said whoever painted the offensive symbols "is not welcome here."

Mayor David said, “Hate, bigotry and anti-Semitism have no place in our community. This was a cowardly act. The Binghamton Police Department is conducting a full investigation to catch those responsible. We’re coordinating with school district officials and reviewing video from both school and City cameras in the area. We will update the public when more information becomes available.”

There has been no statement from the Binghamton City School District.
