My friends laugh at me because I carry pepper spray, but I take my safety seriously and this is why.

The bodies of three women have been found in East Cleveland, Ohio and a man related to the case has been taken into custody.

On Saturday, two bodies were found. One was in the basement of an abandoned house, while the other was found in a nearby field. The first body was found on Friday on the same street, after authorities received a call about a bad smell in the area.

The garage where the first victim was found was leased to a man named Michael Madison, a 35-year-old registered sex offender who was convicted of an attempted rape in 2001. He was taken into custody at his mom’s house by police without incident, but no charges have been filed against him yet.

Police are still sorting things out, but believe that the killer "idolized" and was "influenced" by convicted serial killer Anthony Sowell.

The mayor of East Cleveland says he believes the killings happened over a 10 day period and that each victim was wrapped in plastic. Mayor Norton also said he fears there might be more victims.

Update 4:28am 7/23/13: Michael Madison is facing three counts of aggravated murder and three counts of kidnapping. He's being held in lieu of $6 million bail. Autopsies have been completed on all three, but only one has been identified. She's 38-year-old Angela Deskins.
