The Harpursville Jr. Sr. High School Robotics Team had a gigantic send off this morning as they made their way to the World Vex Bot Championships in Louisville, Kentucky. The team will compete for world glory April 25-28.

On March 11th, four qualifying club teams from Harpursville competed in the Northern New York State Vex High School Championships at the SRC Arena and Events center in Syracuse.

Over 65 teams from New York State descended upon Syracuse to compete in this robot competition. All four Harspursville teams gave it their all, but one team soared above the rest. Two 8th graders and two 10th graders gave it their all in order to qualify for the world championships.In their final chance to qualify for world's, the team scored a 100-91 upset and won the Northern New York State Vex High School Championships.

The team has seen an outpouring of success from local business and residents. This morning they departed school for their final destination of Kentucky with a fire department escort, as their fellow classmates cheered them on!
