One of the shining attributes fans and colleagues of Montgomery Gentry singer Troy Gentry will remember about him is his bright smile, and he displays it full force in this sweet video.

Country duo Halfway to Hazard, composed of David Tolliver and Chad Warrix, shared a fun video of themselves with Gentry singing a hilarious rendition of Bonnie Tyler's classic hit, “Total Eclipse of the Heart," in a video they call "Total Eclipse of KY" on Aug. 21, the same day as the eclipse. The three pals gather around the piano, with Gentry committing to the performance as he tries to hit the song's high notes, dramatically singing the line "turn around" as Tolliver and Warrix sing the lyrics of the first verse. Gentry passionately delivers the famous chorus, laughing all the while as his friends scream along with him.

The guys really ham it up at the end, striking a silly, yet sweet post while giving the camera puppy dog eyes, with Gentry placing his hand over his heart before cracking up.

"Yesterday country music lost a trailblazer, an influencer, and a great showman," Haflway to Hazard wrote in a Facebook post on Sept. 9, the day after Gentry's tragic death in a helicopter crash. "The world was a better place with you here. We will cherish the memories and fun times together."

In the wake of Gentry's passing, the country music community has honored his memory with emotional tributes, with the Grand Ole Opry sharing a throwback video of Montgomery Gentry's final performance on the Opry stage together from July 1, 2017, singing "Where I Come From." The duo were scheduled to perform a show in Medford, N.J., the night of the crash, which claimed the lives of Gentry and pilot James Evan Robinson after the vehicle experienced mechanical issues.

Halfway to Hazard were among the country singers who took the stage at Gentry's public celebration of life at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville in Thursday (Sept. 14). The duo performed an emotionally wrenching version of "My Old Kentucky Home" in tribute to their friend's Kentucky roots.

Little Big Town began the service with the National Anthem, Trace Adkins sang “Wayfaring Stranger,” Charlie Daniels performed “How Great Thou Art” and Vince Gill sang his hit "Whenever You Come Around,” which was Troy Gentry and his wife Angie's song.
