Anyone who's ever planned a wedding will tell you that it's exciting, but also brutal. Not to mention expensive. So much work and money go into one day of celebrating.

I don't know about you, but I can't imagine going through all the work to create a wedding only to cancel it because of a breakup, but that's the problem Phil LaBoon faced when he and his fiancée broke up just days before their wedding.

Instead of throwing up his hands and walking away from it all, Phil did something truly amazing. Phil turned his canceled wedding into a charity event for underprivileged kids.

Phil asked for an entrance fee of $75 from his invited guests and actually took donations from people around the country to help sick children in developing countries. How incredible is that?

Phil called the event LemonAID...as in when life gives you lemons, turn it into lemonade. Roughly 200 guests showed up. Do the math- that's about $15,000 just from those in attendance to benefit underprivileged kids (and that figure doesn't include other donations)!
