Google might be trying to help you enjoy your shows more.  They just got a patent for some kind of anti-spoiler software that would be tracking your TV or movie watching to filter out information on stuff you haven't watched yet. 

I mean, they can only track things you're watching on Netflix, Amazon or other streaming services. They have not figured out how to read your mind yet, so they won't know what you watched at a friends house and such, and who knows what sites will be included in the filter. The way I see it, if the list doesn't include Facebook or Twitter, it would be pretty useless. When it will be a reality is anyone's guess as well.
