Good News Monday: I Was Closest To The Hole At Binghamton Senators Golf Classic
It’s Good News Monday. My good news is that I hit the golf ball closest to the hole in the Binghamton Senators Golf Classic to benefit Wendy’s Walk for Kids last Tuesday. I embraced my “wussiesness” and won a really cool prize. Here’s what I won and how I did it.
First of all thanks to Kelli, Jeff and the rest of the Wendy’s Walk staff. You put together an awesome tournament again. Second thanks for the invite, it gave me a chance to celebrate Pastor Appreciation month and take Kenny from NorthPointe with me to this wonderful event.
Many people were laughing at me because of my choice of golf club on the 162 yard par 3. It was my………driver. I always say “It’s not the number on the golf club, it’s the number you write on the scorecard.” The number in this case is 100. As in 100 dollar gift certificate from Dick’s Sporting Goods. By the way, I hit it 7 feet 2 inches from the hole. So I say “Who’s laughing now.”
