Good News Monday: Dick’s Sporting Goods Open Wins The President’s Award

Congratulations to the Dick's Sporting Goods Open. They've done it again.

Mike Stevens, President of the Champions Tour, announced for the 2nd straight year that the DICK’S Sporting Goods Open wins the President's Award.  It's the most prestigious award on the Tour.

“The DICK’S Sporting Goods Open was an exceptional event in 2012 and again elevated its performance and stature on the Champions Tour in 2013,” said Stevens. “Tournament officials embraced the distinction of their champion becoming the 1,000^thwinner in Champions Tour history and celebrated the significant occasion.

Their tournament-week activities, including the concert, are exceptional and everyone involved with the event should take great pride in how they continue to improve and grow in stature each year. It’s an event that is very deserving of the President’s Award.”

Congratulations to Bart Bryant. He won the DICK'S Sporting Goods Open and became the 1,000 winner on the Champions Tour. He was presented the trophy by Don January, the first official winner of a Champions Tour event.
