I had no idea how many people are scared of goats.  I thought I was one of only a few, but apparently there's a huge number of people who are terrified of these animals.  As a matter of fact, June is Goat Trauma Awareness Month and there's even a foundation for people traumatized by goats as kids, which I was.

According to the Childhood Goat Trauma Foundation, over 6000 people are traumatized by goats in the United States each year and the majority of goat traumas occur before age eight and after age fifty-two, which was my case.

When I was a small child, I was petting a goat with my back partially turned to another goat when that goat sucked my pigtail into it's mouth and began to chew off my hair.

After all of these years of being scared of goats, I decided to take things into my own hands and face my fear head on.  Here's how it went down:
