Since their smash single“Chicken Fried” debuted on country radio in 2008, there’s been no stopping the Zac Brown Band who’ve established themselves as one of country music’s most well loved acts, perfectly molding together folk and country with a hint of bluesy rock.

While I’ve not seen the Zac Brown Band in concert I’ve heard from several friends who’ve attended a show or two that the band doesn’t use gimmicks on stage to hold the attention of the audience. They don’t have to because their music does that for them.

Willie Nelson wears bandanas while Eric Church opts for ball caps and we can’t forget about King George who always performed in a cowboy hat. The head covering of choice for Zac Brown has always been a gray knit stocking cap, but that’s recently changed.

Whether he’s trying to shake things up or just wants to give his head a break from the beanie he’s worn for years, Zac has been sporting a top hat at his recent concerts.

On Friday August 15th, the Zac Brown Band will take the stage at the Dick’s Sporting Good’s Open at En-Joie Golf Course in Endicott and if you’re going to the show, we’d love to hook you up with a top hat of your very own.

98.1 The Hawk and the Oakdale Mall have 1,000 top hats to hand out (think of how awesome that’s gonna look- a sea of top hats!). To get your FREE top hat, visit the Oakdale Mall this Saturday between 12pm and 2pm and show Rich Birdsall your ticket and he’ll hand over a FREE hat for you to wear at the concert. Let’s show the Zac Brown Band that the Binghamton area has the best fans anywhere!
