George Strait and ‘The Cowboy Rides Away’ Tour

With all the focus and excitement (and that is very,very exciting) the last two days on the upcoming Taste of Country Music Festival at Hunter Mountain, just a little reminder, you still have time to participate and win a trip for two to see George Strait.

George kicked off his final tour in Lubbock, Texas last Friday.  As you probably can guess, there will be many surprises along the way during the tour.  This surprise however, was one George Strait had for somebody else.  Halfway through the show, he brought a Marine on stage and handed him some keys.  It wasn't for a car, it was for a house.

It was all part of the Homes 4 Wounded Heroes program.  US Marine Corps E-3/Lance Corporal Christopher Allen was the 287th recipient in the program.  However he has a distinction that the other 286 recipients do not.  He was the first to get his house keys directly from George Strait.
