You might remember that George Jones was planning a ginormous farewell concert in Nashville this fall.  Well, that concert will now become a tribute concert to honor the legend who passed away on April 26th.

George’s widow, Nancy, released this statement:

Everyone has been asking if we will still do the show.  I have asked Garth, Kid Rock, Travis Tritt, The Oak Ridge Boys, Montgomery Gentry, Sam Moore, Charlie Daniels, Jamey Johnson and others and they all said 'Yes, I am still going to do it.' So with all the artists still planning on coming, we are going to honor George one final time.

Tickets for the tribute concert are sold out, but my guess is that if you dig around online, you’ll be able to find tickets as the concert date (November 22nd) gets closer.  However, be ready to pay big bucks for the tickets if you find them.
