Music City is getting even more musical with the addition of country stars Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood, who have announced they are moving to Nashville.

However, it's a bittersweet move for country power couple, as they're setting sail from their longtime home state of Oklahoma. "I have loved living in Oklahoma. It's been a great place to raise our girls, and the thing I'll miss the most is that I've made some of the best friends I'll ever have. But we'll always be best friends," Yearwood tells CMT.

The songstress and her husband are packing their bags because Brooks' youngest daughter is leaving for college in the fall, making them empty nesters for the first time. The reason they moved to the Sooner state in the first place was to be closer to Brooks' three daughters from his first marriage, so there's nothing tying them there now.

"It's been the right thing to be at home," explains Yearwood, "But Garth and I both feel like the job of being home every day and going to every soccer practice, that job is coming to an end for us. And so it's time for us to do the next thing, and we're excited for whatever's next for us."

An immersion into Music City -- the place many of their country peers call home sweet home -- is what's on tap.

"Garth and I have always sort of been gypsies. If you do this for a living, home for us is really just where we are together," Yearwood says sweetly. "There's an energy about Nashville that I love and I miss. And it's so awesome right now. It has a new energy that's so cool. And it makes sense because it's been a bit of a challenge to not live there and to have to fly in and out for work."

The relocation will be especially convenient, as Brooks is returning to the stage this year, making their involvement with country music even stronger looking into 2014.
