Garth Brooks knows how important moms are, which is why he took a special moment to pay tribute to them at his show in Fargo, S.D. on Sunday (May 8), which was Mother's Day.

Brooks posted a video on Facebook showing part of the sweet moment when he had all the moms in the audience stand and everyone else sit during an intimate performance of his song, "Mom." Brooks declared an emphatic “Happy Mother’s Day!” after the last note of the tune, and the audience roared, saluting moms both in the audience and everywhere.

In his Facebook post, the icon called it the "coolest moment" of the show and even noted the beginning of a new tradition, which it seems fans will be in favor of.

Brooks has been on his wildly popular world tour for months, performing more than one show in several of the cities he’s hit and adding more dates all the time. He recently announced several new shows in Canada, including six in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan alone. The tour has made him the top-earning country artist of 2015 and recently earned him the award for Touring Artist of the Year at the ACCAs.

Brooks has said he is going to be working on a new solo record soon, but first he is finishing up a Christmas album of duets with wife Trisha Yearwood, something fans have been clamoring for since they performed “In Another’s Eyes” together nearly 20 years ago. He says the new record will get fans involved with the process, including going behind the scenes on songwriting sessions and recording.
