Garlic Pizza Grilled Cheese [RECIPE]
I saw a recipe for garlic pizza grilled cheese floating around Facebook and knew I had to try it because I love pepperoni, garlic and mozzarella cheese and each of those are in this recipe.
I don't know why I never thought to make this before because I always make my grilled cheese sandwiches with garlic toast. I was happy with how fast this sandwich cooked and how delicious it tasted. I think it's safe to say this will be kid (big or little) approved.
You'll only need 5 ingredients:
- 4 slices of garlic toast
- 4 slices of mozzarella
- Sliced pepperoni
- Italian seasoning (I love Salamida's Italian Pinch)
- Pizza sauce
Step 1: Warm a skillet over medium heat. When skillet is hot, place a piece of toast in the pan and then add a slice of cheese and shake of Italian seasoning (just a little will do the trick). Top with however much pepperoni you'd like.
Step 2: Cover with another slice of cheese and second piece of garlic toast.
Step 3: Using a spatula, push down on sandwich. Once the bottom side is browned, carefully flip over and cook until the other side is brown and cheese is melted.
Step 4: Plate sandwich(s) and add some pizza sauce to the plate for dipping. Enjoy!
