Funeral Procession Honoring John Scott

Last Wednesday (7/20), John Scott was killed after he was hit by a county pick-up truck while he was working at a radio tower site in Owego. He was 71.

Today (7/25) will be his funeral procession and will affect travel this afternoon. A funeral Mass is scheduled at Our Lady of Good Counsel on West Main Street in Endicott at 10:30 this morning.

Afterwords, a procession will travel to Calvary Cemetery in Johnson City using State Route 17C east to Hooper Road to Watson Boulevard to Harry L Drive. This will begin around noon and the area could be affected till about 2pm.

Before the procession, fire trucks will travel to Calvary Cemetery. They'll use State Route 17C east to Route 26 south to Route 17 east to Route 201 north to Harry L Drive.

Endicott and Johnson City police along with the New York State Police will help with traffic during that time.

Also keep in mind that traffic will be heavy in the Our Lady of Good Counsel Church area before 10:30 with vehicles going to and from Calvary Cemetery.
