It might feel like we’re in a heat wave right now with temps in the 40’s and 50’s, but mark my word- winter is NOT over.  I was reading the Farmer’s Almanac this morning and they predict that we’re in for two nasty snow storms in February and March (and they’re generally always right), so if/when that happens, you want to be ready.

I don’t know about you, but one of the things that annoys me the most is when a sheet of ice covers your car’s keyhole, making it impossible to insert the key without chipping away at it.

Here’s a solution to make sure you’ll never have to chip away at your car’s keyhole again: place a flat, wide refrigerator magnet over your car door and trunk locks whenever snow or sleet is in the forecast.  The magnets will create a seal to prevent water from seeping into the lock and freezing.  In the morning, you can simply slide the magnets off and hit the road.
