If you haven’t heard by now, there was tragic siege on a Nairobi mall that left at least 67 people dead.  It’s an awful situation that Kenya’s president yesterday said was finally over.

Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta says three floors of the Westgate mall collapsed and that there are "several bodies still trapped in the rubble including the terrorists.” The al-Qaeda linked suspects stormed the mall Saturday and opened fire, targeting anyone who was not Muslim. The Somalia-based militant group al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for the attack.

Amidst the sadness and destruction comes a story of pure heroism and it comes from a four year old boy.

Fearless 4-year-old Elliott Prior of England reportedly stood up to the gunman to protect his 6-year-old sister Amelie and his mom Amber, who was shot in the leg. After Elliott shouted, "You're a bad man, let us leave," the militant allegedly gave Elliott a couple candy bars and told his family: "Please forgive me, we are not monsters," and then he let them go.

That’s one special little guy right there. A hero for sure.
