Rolling Stone Magazine says that Lindsay Ell is a "Country artist you need to know," calling her a "singer-songwriter-guitar-slayer."   Queens of Country calls Lindsay "one of the most talented new female country artists,"  and Billboard says that Lindsay has "been described as a 'female Keith Urban'"

The world is in the palm of this talented woman's hands and there's absolutely no holding her back which is why we're honored that Lindsay will be joining us for our Toyota Country Lights Festival at NYSEG stadium on July 22nd.

    Early Love Affair With Music

    Some kids are just born with musical ability and Lindsay would be one of those kids. She was playing piano at the age of six and guitar at the age of eight. Oh, but that's not all.  Lindsay started writing songs at the tender age of 10.

    Brains, Beauty and Talent

    Lindsay is the whole package- brains, beauty and talent. As a matter of fact, she was the valedictorian for her high school class (did I mention she graduated high school a year early?). After high school, Lindsay went to the University of Calgary where she studied business and then she attended the prestigious Berklee College of Music. And she did it all while continuing to pursue a career in music.

    The Who and Bachman-Turner Overdrive

    Randy Bachman, founder of both The Who and Bachman–Turner Overdrive is the one who discovered Lindsay. He heard her demo and knew right away that he wanted to sit down with her for a writing session. Lindsay told The Boot that her parents are huge fans of BTO and The Who and on the day Randy was going to show up at her house, her mom was freaking out and cleaning everything and then Randy pulled up “in jeans and a t-shirt and puts his feet up on the coffee table, and he’s like, “Let’s write a song.” Lindsay says that since, Randy has been like a second dad to her.

    Grand Ole' Opry

    They don't let just anyone take the stage at the Grand Ole' Opry, so you know Lindsay has to have some impressive chops because she made her first appearance in April of 2014 and has made several appearances since.

    Big Name Opener

    Lindsay was hand picked by The Band Perry to open their "We Are Pioneers World Tour" in 2013 and 2014. She's also opened for other huge country acts such as Keith Urban and Luke Bryan.
