First Friday Game Night at Phelps Mansion

Did you know that board games have been around since before we even had a written language? As a matter of fact, the first known game pieces ever found are estimated to be from the year 5000 BC.

Games have been a way for people to pass the time forever, but the craze really started to grow in the 19th century when more group activities, such as parlor games grew in popularity.

If you're like me, you remember playing board games when you were a kid, maybe even as part of a family game night. If you have a family of your own now and want to introduce some of the fun times from your younger years with your kids, you're invited to attend First Friday Family Game Night at the Phelps Mansion on Court Street in Binghamton.

At First Friday Game Night, you'll learn how to play games like the Minister’s Cat, the Graces, throwing the smile, Fox and Geese, charades and more.

First Friday Game Night at the Phelps Mansion is open to the public and completely free to attend from 6pm-9pm on Friday, February 5th.
