First Friday Art Walk is Tonight in Downtown Binghamton

Usually my Friday nights are booked, but this week my schedule is clear and I'm excited to check out the First Friday Art Walk in downtown Binghamton.

A couple months ago Hawk listener Debby and her daughter Alicia "AJ" stopped by the studio to say hello and while they were here, AJ gave me a sticker of a drawing she made and I loved it so much that I put it on my computer monitor in the studio so that I can look at it every morning.

AJ will be one of the artists featuring her work in tonight's Art Walk through her exhibit called "Not Broke, Just Bent."

If you're like me and haven't ever been to the First Friday Art Walk, here's what you need to know:

The First Friday Art Walk is held each month on the first Friday of the month (thus the name!) from 6-9pm in downtown Binghamton.  The walk is sponsored by the Gorgeous Washington Street Association. GWSA members plan special activities, art showings and live entertainment.

There will be 33 locations featuring art, entertainment and more this evening and the best part is that checking it all out doesn't cost you a penny. Get the scoop on First Friday Art Walk here and maybe we'll bump into each other tonight!
