Finding Your Destiny at the New and Improved Destiny USA, Syracuse, NY

Not that the Oakdale Mall doesn’t have its charms, but everyone in the Southern Tier knows it’s a good day when you get to take the drive up to Syracuse for a day of shopping at we once fondly referred to as the Carousel Mall.

But thanks to the recent renovations on our beloved Syracuse shopping center, there’s a whole lot more to do there now than just riding a carousel.

While you can currently walk around the new addition to the mall that is Destiny USA, all the fun is set to open on Labor Day, September 1st from 10:00am to 9:30pm.

And when I say “all the fun,” I mean all the fun. Not only are there a slew of new and unique restaurants to tickle your taste buds (Does anyone remember that cool Rainforest Café-esque place they used to have at the mall? I hope these new places can fill the void that one left!), but there are also a ton of imaginative and thrilling attractions that have been added.

Going to the mall is going to feel more like going to an in-door amusement park with a laser tag area, a go-cart track, a play-place, a mirror maze, a ropes course, and other weird, yet totally awesome attractions!

It’s not even just the people of Binghamton that are getting excited, either. ABC News and Good Morning America recently shared a list of “Last-Minute Summer Vacations” from JustLuxe – an online magazine covering trends in affluent and luxury lifestyle – and Destiny USA landed on the list!
