I had a chance to meet this young man when the Binghamton Senators and The Hawk were delivering Teddy Bears and other stuffed animals to needy kids throughout the Southern Tier in December.

His name is Casey Bailey. He sat in the front seat with me as we were delivering the bears. He's from Anchorage, AK and he went to college at Penn State. WOW, how do you go from Alaska to Pennsylvania?

He was undrafted and signed by the Toronto Maple Leafs. He was acquired by the Senators last season and played 30 games with the B-Sens. He's now an assistant captain for the team and is tied for the team lead in goals with nine.

I'm happy to announce that he's made the AHL All-Star team. Bailey will be going to Allentown, Pa for the All-Star Classic.

The event begins on Sunday, January 29th with the AHL All-Star Skills Competition with seven skills events, including hardest shot, fastest skater and accuracy shooting.

Monday, January 30th, it's the AHL All-Star Challenge with four teams representing each division. The round-robin tournament will feature six 3-on-3 games of 10 minutes each. The two teams with the best records at the end of the round-robin will face off for the championship.

You can see Casey and the rest of the B-Sens in action tonight at the Floyd L. Maines Veterans Memorial Arena when St. Johns come to town. It's Pucks and Paws Night. Go here to find out how you can help your favorite local pet organization and save money at the game.

I'll be doing Chuck-a-Puck between the 2nd and 3rd period. Congrats Casey and LET'S  GO SENS!
