It seemed like an excellent idea.  People in the Greater Binghamton area were excited to have Magic City Music Hall back.  A year later they are closing its' doors.

Officials at Magic City Music Hall at 1240 Front Street officially announced that Saturday's Rusted Root concert (October 29) will be the final show.  The concert is

It's very sad that the curtain is coming down on a venue that produced such amazing talent over the past year, including Billy Currington, Kelsea Ballerini, Justin Moore, Jennifer Nettles, and the Charlie Daniels Band.  As promised, virtually every genre of music was represented.

“We made a significant investment in bringing Magic City back to the Twin Tiers and world class talent to Binghamton,” said the spokesman in the official press release, “and unfortunately it was not to be.  That said, we appreciate the patronage of all who enjoyed the Music Hall over the past year.”

If you're wondering about ticket refunds for Chase Rice and Josh Turner, you can get your refund at the place of purchase, including the Magic City Music Hall Box Office on Upper Front Street in Binghamton. The box office will be open for refunds through 6:00 p.m. Monday, October 31 and after that, by sending the tickets and a stamped, self-addressed envelope to Magic City, P.O. Box 462, Endicott, New York.
