My morning show partner, Traci Taylor, and I went to Memphis recently to visit and learn all about St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. We had the chance to meet some of the kids that were there suffering from cancer and it was an experience that neither one of us will ever forget.

Most all of us know someone who has been affected in one way or another by cancer and we've felt completely helpless because we just don't know what we can say or do. If you've felt it in your heart to shower someone with cancer in love, here's a way that you can help a local Southern Tier Girl.

Meet Megan Santa Croce. Megan is battling cancer for the second time. She's got an incredibly rare form called Sertoli Leydig. Believe it or not, Megan says that chemo is like ice cream? Intrigued? Read more here.

This Saturday, February 10th, a benefit for Megan called "Fight Like Megan" will be held from 5pm-8pm at St. Francis of Assisi, 1049 Chenango Street in Binghamton.

This benefit will feature a pasta dinner with beer and soda. There will also be basket raffles, a 50/50 raffle, and a Chinese Auction. Entertainment will be provided by The Binghamton Treblemakers, The Dance Connection, and Rooster and the Roadhouse Horns.

If you'd like to support Megan, but can't make it to the benefit, maybe you'll consider giving a monetary donation. Interested? Reach out to Ross at (607) 206-8215 or Krista at (607) 343-3162.
