Farm Aid begins today and is 30 years old.  That's 30 years of helping family farms, including the men and women who make it work here in the Southern Tier.  With all the questions on GMO's and corporate farming, Farm Aid is more important than ever.

Each year, Farm Aid board members Willie Nelson, Neil Young, John Cougar Mellencamp and Dave Matthews host a Farm Aid concert to bring together a wide variety of artists, farmers and fans for one mission: keeping family farmers on the land. Farm Aid is the longest running concert for a cause in America, raising $48 million since 1985 to help family farmers thrive all over the country while inspiring millions of people to take part in the Good Food Movement.

Farm Aid will celebrate its 30th year at Farm Aid 30 in downtown Chicago and once again has a slew of artists helping Willie, Neil, John and Dave out.  While times are subject to change, here is the tentative schedule:

  • 12:50 – Blackwood Quartet
  • 1:10 – Ian Mellencamp
  • 1:35 – Insects vs Robots
  • 2:00 – Holly Williams

The next best thing to being there is to watch it on line.  Click HERE to tune in.  Thank you for making that difference for family farms in America.
