He added, “We know the local economy is really struggling and this may be the only opportunity some will have this year to attend a race. We want to just say thanks to them and give a fun night out of racing.”

There have been many improvements made over the years. The stadium lightning makes the viewing of the action awesome for the fans. All new safety fencing, along with a revamping of the speedway layout and backstretch pit area are just some of the improvements that have been made.

Pit gates will open at 3.  Kids 12 and younger will be admitted free of charge in to the grandstand area. 5 Mile Point will be silent on Saturday the 9th for the Race of Champions event at the Chemung Speedrome in Chemung.  To check out all the fun, go here.
