Fairbanks Karate Tournament on Saturday

It's great when you hear about kids doing something more then Snapchat, Face Book or Twitter. Something that involves exercise  and true in-person interaction. I love hearing about this.

This Saturday, September 24th starting at 9am, Master Cathy Fairbanks is having an in house karate tournament. It's for her students at Fairbanks Karate at 604 Vestal Parkway West in Vestal.

This tournament gives the kids a chance to showcase their hard work. The events include forms and board breaking. Students of all ages and ranks will take part in this event. There will also be an extreme breaking event for higher ranks and adult students

The tournament is also helping the kids to improve their self confidence and to help others improve their confidence by displaying good sportsmanship. Everyone is invited to attend and cheer on the students.
