In case you haven't seen, Traci wrote an awesome blog about 5 reasons we love Binghamton. One of the reasons she mentioned is our sports teams!

Did you know that we have a semi-pro soccer team in the Southern Tier? It's the Greater Binghamton Futbol Club Thunder (GBFC Thunder) also known as New York's soccer team.

The Thunder went on the road Wednesday against Scranton Electric City. They shut out the Shock 4-0. That moves them into 1st place in the division.

They return home to the Greater Binghamton Sports Complex, Visions Field this Saturday night to take on Hershey. Kick-off is at 6pm.

They've been together since 2011 and they are the NPSL Keystone Conference champions. Many local rising soccer stars are playing in our area.

They have 3 home games left including next Wednesday against Buffalo. It's not to late to check out exciting soccer locally!
