In case you haven't seen, Traci wrote an awesome blog about 5 reasons we love Binghamton. One of those reasons is our sports teams!

If you're into soccer then you'll be happy to find out that we have a semi-pro soccer team in the Southern Tier.

It's the Greater Binghamton Futbol Club Thunder (GBFC Thunder) also known as New York's soccer team. They play tonight (5/23)

They have been together since 2011 and they are the NPSL Keystone Conference champions and play at the Greater Binghamton Sports Complex, Visions Field.

They've played 2 home games already and it's not to late to check out exciting soccer locally!

Last Saturday, Chris Riley scores for the Thunder as time ran out for a 2-2 tie against the Electric City Shock from Scranton.

They play at home again this Saturday against the Clarkstown Eagles. It all begins at 6pm. Many local rising soccer stars are playing in our area.

You can join the growing fan base and get game day info here.
