Summer is starting to wind down, but that doesn't mean it's time to go into full on hibernation mode. There are still plenty of events happening in and around Binghamton, including the City of Binghamton's Brown Bag Lunch Series.

Spice up your typically boring lunch break this Friday (August 22nd) and join the City of Binghamton at the Binghamton Farmer's Market on Collier Street from 12pm-1pm for their Brown Bag Lunch series. You bring the brown bag lunch and they'll bring the music.

This week you'll enjoy music from Lester Hirsh.  According to his website, the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences placed Lester Hirsh's 'Mosaic II: Poems of An Ancient Order' on the Official Ballot for the 47th Annual Grammy Awards for 'Best Spoken Word Album.'  Lester performs on Spanish 6-string and acoustic12-string guitar and his style ranges from classical, country, and folk, to Brazilian jazz and Flamenco.

Please note: if you'd like to shop at the Farmers Market during lunch, they won't be accepting credit cards so you might want to bring some cash or stop by an ATM located in a one of the nearby bank.
