On this Martin Luther King Jr. day, we have news about the other king, Elvis Presley. 2 weeks ago, we told you that Elvis Presley's first recording was going to be auctioned off. Now we know how much it went for and it may surprise you.

As you know, January 8th would have been Elvis's 80th birthday. On that day, they auctioned many of his personal items. One of the items was his first recording that he recorded when he was 18.

The acetate disc, which is believed to be the only copy in existence had the song 'My Happiness' on 1 side and 'That's Where Your Heartache Begins' on the other.

He paid $4 for the session in 1953. The bidding began at $50,000 but it didn't stay there long. It finally went for $300,000 to an undisclosed buyer.

Other items that were up for grabs was his 1st driver's license, the jacket he wore in the 'Viva Las Vegas' movie, an autographed copy of 'That's All Right' and a custom watch featuring a Star of David design.

There is more Presley memorabilia available. His 2 private planes, the Lisa Marie and the Hound Dog II are for sale. It's a sealed bid auction running through February 2nd. Go here to find out more.

Long live the King! Today especially because it's Martin Luther King Day.
