Ellis Brothers Furniture In Downtown Binghamton Catches on Fire [AUDIO]

Ellis Brothers Furniture Store has been a staple for many years in the Binghamton area. A fantastic local business for all of us to be proud of! Unfortunately the owners recieved an alarm notification this morning of a fire. The Fire crews responded to Ellis Brothers to find the structure engulfed in flames. The Binghamton Fire Department had the blaze under control in a matter of a few minutes without causing, or causing  minimal water damage to surrounding businesses. Binghamton Fire Department Assitant Chief Whalen told us that they were especially concerned with preventing the blaze from spreading to the Nirchi's Pizza location next door.

As of 12:00PM Binghamton Fire Department was confident that the blaze is extinguished, but they will continue to monitor the structure for several hours in case of rekindle.
